Jade Cargill is making moves inside and outside the ring.
The current WWE Women’s Champion represented the company in style at the star-studded premiere of The Rip on Tuesday, January 13. Held at Alice Tully Hall in New York City, the Netflix event brought out major Hollywood names like Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Steven Yeun, Sasha Calle, and Teyana Taylor—but it was Cargill who turned heads for the wrestling world.
WWE’s rising Netflix presence was front and center as Cargill posed on the red carpet, reinforcing the company’s growing connection to the streaming giant ahead of Monday Night Raw’s full move to the platform later this year.
Netflix describes The Rip as a gritty thriller where “trust frays when a team of Miami cops discovers millions in cash inside a run-down stash house, calling everyone — and everything — into question.” The film drops on Friday, January 16.
Cargill’s red carpet appearance came just days before the January 16 episode of WWE SmackDown. With WWE expanding its media footprint and stars like Cargill stepping into crossover roles, the partnership with Netflix is clearly just getting started.
