Jade Cargill isn’t waiting for WrestleMania 41 to get personal—she already stepped out of character and opened up about what her match with Naomi truly means to her.

On April 5, 2025, Cargill took to social media to post a rare out-of-character message, showing fans just how much this story is impacting her behind the scenes.

“Thank you to the fans. This story that’s unfolding means a lot to me. Glad you all are on the ride. Whether you hate it or love it. 🤍 thank you,” she wrote, setting aside the bravado and offering a sincere glimpse into her mindset heading into WWE’s biggest event of the year.

The match itself is already making history. For the first time since WrestleMania 22 in 2006, a non-title women’s singles match is scheduled for the show. And unlike that last one—a Playboy Pillow Fight between Torrie Wilson and Candice Michelle—this year’s showdown comes without any stipulations, marking the first pure one-on-one women’s bout in WrestleMania history with no title and no gimmick attached.

Before WrestleMania 22, the last non-title women’s singles match happened all the way back at WrestleMania 16, when Terri Runnels and The Kat faced off in a “catfight.” That kind of spectacle is a far cry from what Jade Cargill vs Naomi represents—a battle between two powerful competitors with real backstory and real tension.

Cargill and Naomi were once allies. Now, they’re standing on opposite sides of a history-making WrestleMania moment, and Jade’s message makes it clear this is more than just another match to her. “Glad you all are on the ride,” she said—and fans clearly are.
