Jacob Fatu’s road to WWE included a viral moment that fans still bring up — and he’s not running from it.
Before officially signing with WWE, Fatu appeared in an interview where he casually mentioned that he has seven kids. The comment caught fans off guard and quickly spread across social media, becoming one of the most talked-about clips tied to his name at the time.
During a conversation with Denise Salcedo, she wasted no time bringing it up. Denise told him:
“Yo, Jacob, first of all, yeah, your quote when you said you had seven kids, it went freaking viral.”
Instead of leaning into the attention or playing it up, Fatu laughed and immediately redirected the spotlight to his wife and family.
“Yeah. Shout out to my wife, though. You know what I mean? I ain’t got the ring on this time, girl, but shout out to my wife and my kids, man. You know what I mean?”
The moment could have easily turned into a flex or a punchline, but Fatu kept it grounded. The viral clip may have helped expand his reach before WWE officially signed him, but his response showed where his priorities sit.
Fatu didn’t dismiss the moment, and he didn’t overplay it either. He acknowledged it, laughed, and made sure his wife and kids were front and center.
