Luchasaurus is officially sidelined from AEW action due to a real shoulder injury—and now his tag team partner Jack Perry is shifting into solo mode.

Fightful Select reports that Luchasaurus’ injury is legitimate and not just part of the storyline fans saw unfold on the December 31, 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite. That night, he appeared with his shoulder wrapped and was quickly taken out by Toa Liona during a chaotic segment. At first, many thought it was all part of the show—but it turns out there’s real concern behind the scenes. AEW has yet to confirm whether surgery will be needed or how long he’ll be out.

But while Luchasaurus is off the grid, Jack Perry isn’t going anywhere. According to Fightful, “Jack Perry is expected to remain on TV in a singles capacity.”

With Luchasaurus potentially out for a while, all eyes are now on how AEW books Jack Perry going forward—and whether this solo spotlight turns into a permanent pivot for the former Jungle Boy.
