WWE just confirmed that Women’s World Champion IYO SKY is returning to NXT tonight—and she’s stepping straight into the action.
In a tweet sent out just hours before the April 29 episode, WWE announced that “After a conversation with @avawwe_, @Iyo_SkyWWE will team up with @JordynneGrace to take on @giulia0221g and @roxanne_wwe in tag team action TONIGHT on #WWENXT!” The match is set to air live at 8 PM ET on The CW Network.
This tag match is already grabbing attention, pairing IYO SKY and Jordynne Grace—two major forces from WWE and TNA—against Giulia and Roxanne Perez. The combination of star power across brands and promotions has fans fired up for what could be one of NXT’s most explosive matches in recent memory.
The rest of tonight’s show is stacked too. Hank & Tank are putting their NXT Tag Team Titles on the line in their first defense against Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura. Ricky Saints is also defending the NXT North American Championship against Lexis King, though it won’t be a title-for-title match anymore after Saints dropped the Heritage Cup to Noam Dar. Plus, Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo are finally meeting face-to-face after their dramatic split at Stand & Deliver.
With talent from Raw, NXT, and even TNA converging for this week’s show, WWE’s blending of rosters is hitting new levels—and IYO SKY’s presence only turns up the heat.
Ringside News will be providing live play-by-play coverage of tonight’s show over in our WWE NXT coverage hub. It promises to be a memorable episode for many reasons, so it remains to be seen how the show will turn out.
