Fans in Saudi Arabia let Triple H hear it during the post-show segment of the 2026 Royal Rumble, with chants of “We want Vince” and “You f**ed up”* ringing out through the venue. But while the crowd reaction was loud and very public, the internal response within WWE has been virtually nonexistent.

Triple H didn’t acknowledge the chants during the live broadcast, and according to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select Q&A, there’s been no real reaction backstage either.

"There has been no reaction. He's not coming back, and creative would be significantly worse if Vince McMahon was there."

“Triple H didn’t want to be in a room full of media, and this was what he got instead,” Sapp said when asked about how the company feels about the repeated crowd hostility.

Since WWE introduced the new post-show format permanently at SummerSlam 2025, this kind of heat has become familiar territory. Triple H faced major backlash after John Cena’s retirement match on the December 13, 2025 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, with fans chanting “AEW” and “You f**ed up”* after the show went off the air.

Despite this, there seems to be no shift in how WWE handles the situation. Internally, sources indicate there’s no panic or strong reaction to the chants. There’s no indication the company plans to scale back Triple H’s post-show involvement or adjust the format to avoid further incidents.

Even with Vince McMahon long gone from WWE—having resigned in disgrace in January 2024 after damning lawsuits—the chants in favor of his return continue to echo. But as far as WWE management is concerned, they’re not taking the bait.

Do you think WWE should be more concerned about the fan reaction to Triple H, or are these chants just noise? Drop your thoughts in the comments below and let us know how you’d handle it.
