MJF has received a ton of praise backstage in AEW for how he continued to appear on AEW television despite being busy promoting Happy Gilmore 2.

According to Fightful Select, MJF received praise from people backstage for continuing to appear on AEW Dynamite, even while he was busy promoting Happy Gilmore 2, which was released today on Netflix.

“MJF got praise from those we spoke to for still making AEW Dynamite episodes in the middle of heavy promotion for Happy Gilmore 2, which released today on Netflix.”

This comes after Adam Sandler recently revealed that he was a bit worried during filming when MJF had to leave the set to wrestle a match and then come back. Before leaving, MJF confidently told Sandler he was going to win. When MJF returned, he had visible bruises all over his body. Some of them were easy to cover with makeup, but others were harder to hide.

“Funny as hell. What a great kid. Love him. Family member. I was a little concerned when halfway through he was going to fight. He went and had a match and then had to come back. It was at the Garden, I think. And he goes, ‘I’m going to win.’ Yeah, yeah.

But the things he has to do… he came back bruised. I mean, there were some bruises you can cover, and then there were some extra bruises. That kid is jacked and he’s a stud, and I’m happy to say he’s my fake son forever. I’m proud of my fake son. I love my fake son. And I love him in real.”

Happy Gilmore 2 released today to a ton of praise from fans and critics alike and MJF was seen as one of the highlights of the film. MJF’s dedication for both AEW and the movie shows just how serious he is about his career, and fans wouldn’t have it any other way.
