Injured NXT Talent Close to In-Return

NXT talent Steffanie Newell is close to returning to action after sustaining an ACL tear in her last back in June of last year.

Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer addressed her status in a tweet on Saturday, saying she should be back “fairly soon.”

It’s worth noting that Newell didn’t actually sustain the injury in a match. The injury came shortly after she reported to the WWE Performance Center last year.
