TNA thought it had a feel-good moment on its hands after signing Ricky Sosa at Sacrifice — but now the story has taken a sharp turn thanks to a heated rant from overseas.
After signing his contract in the ring alongside Tommy Dreamer and TNA President Carlos Silva, Sosa was immediately positioned as one of the company’s newest names to watch. TNA even wasted no time rolling out his merchandise, making it clear they’re fully behind him. But behind the scenes, things got messy—fast.
The owner of KHAO Wrestling in France, where Sosa previously worked, jumped on Twitter and ripped into TNA, accusing the company of taking advantage of the indie wrestling scene to snatch talent without giving anything back. He made it clear he believes promotions like TNA are exploiting smaller companies and selling wrestlers a dream without compensation.
"At the slightest opportunity, our talents leave… and you're happy about it? We take advantage of the fragility of indie wrestling to poach them, by selling them the dream of becoming the next WWE superstar, without the slightest compensation or consideration in return. This can't go on any longer."
And then it got even more personal. In a follow-up tweet, the KHAO owner took direct aim at Sosa himself—claiming he played a key role in building him up and suggesting Sosa wouldn’t be where he is today without that influence: “Don’t forget that if I hadn’t changed his entrance music, he’d still be a jobber in Nanterre.”
The situation has now turned what should’ve been a breakout moment into a full-blown controversy, raising questions about how major promotions handle talent coming out of the indie scene. Sosa is officially part of TNA and moving forward—but this drama is already attached to his name heading into his run with the company.
