Indi Hartwell has been rebuilding her career on the independent scene after her WWE release, but could All Elite Wrestling be in her future? While she recently shared the ring with Mercedes Moné at House of Glory’s City of Dreamz, there’s no confirmation that AEW is looking to sign her—at least, not yet.

During a Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about AEW’s potential interest in Hartwell after her match with Moné. While fans saw the bout as a major opportunity for Hartwell, Sapp noted that he hasn’t heard anything concrete regarding AEW making a move.

“I’ve not heard of anything, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have interest. I’m not sure of her visa situation, but the word was that she and many people even connected to HOG didn’t know that match was going to be the match until a couple days before.”

The fact that Hartwell vs. Moné was a last-minute booking only adds to the intrigue. Many wrestlers plan major indie matchups well in advance, but in this case, even those involved were reportedly caught off guard. Regardless, Hartwell impressed, going toe-to-toe with the AEW TBS Champion in a match that left many wondering if AEW would come calling.

Hartwell has been working hard since leaving WWE in November 2024, making a name for herself again with standout performances. She previously expressed interest in teaming up with Steph De Lander and has been spotted training with Moné, fueling speculation that bigger opportunities could be on the horizon.

As of now, there’s no official word on AEW offering her a contract, but with Moné playing a major role in AEW’s women’s division, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Hartwell appear in Tony Khan’s company down the line.
