Mercedes Moné made a regal entrance at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door—and now we know who stood beside her in uniform.

The TBS Champion was flanked by a group of Royal Guards during her entrance at London’s O2 Arena, all holding her many championship belts. The visual made a strong statement before her title defense in a wild 4-way match. In an update, several of those guards have now been identified—and they’re indie standouts in their own right.

Among the performers dressed as Royal Guards were Chuck Mambo, TK Cooper, and Kuro—names well-known to fans of the UK independent wrestling scene. Their involvement added extra flair to Moné’s entrance, which received a roaring ovation from the London crowd long before she even hit the ring.

Moné went on to defend her TBS Title against Alex Windsor, Persephone, and Bozilla in a match that tested her on all fronts. The STARDOM powerhouse Bozilla nearly stole the show with her strength and agility, at one point countering Mercedes’ offense into a fisherman buster—only to be hit with a poisonrana moments later.

The match delivered fast-paced chaos, including a double Statement Maker from Moné and a unique double sharpshooter from Windsor. Ultimately, Mercedes scored the win by pinning Persephone, retaining her title and keeping her gold streak alive—now nine championships deep, as mentioned on commentary.

But for many fans, that jaw-dropping entrance might be what sticks the most. With indie stars like Mambo, Cooper, and Kuro adding to the spectacle, Moné’s presentation continues to show she’s all in on building a legacy in AEW.
