The million-dollar wrestling collectible era has officially arrived — and it belongs to Hulk Hogan.
On March 1, 2026, Jeremy Padawer took to Twitter to reveal that Hulk Hogan’s game-worn boots from WrestleMania I have sold for a staggering $1,037,000 at Heritage Auctions. Padawer made it clear he saw this coming.
“I’ve been saying this for years! The day when the first ever million dollar wrestling collectible would come. That day is today. Hulk Hogan’s WrestleMania 1 game worn boots just sold for ,037,000 on Heritage Auctions.”
The sale shatters previous records for wrestling memorabilia and officially makes Hogan’s ring-worn boots the first documented million-dollar wrestling collectible.
Heritage Auctions described the boots as one of the most iconic artifacts in sports entertainment history, photo-matched to WrestleMania I on March 31, 1985, at Madison Square Garden — the event that launched WWE into mainstream prominence. The listing showed their historic significance:
“The sport's most iconic footwear from its most groundbreaking event! 1985 Hulk Hogan Match Worn & Signed Boots - Photo Matched to Wrestlemania I!”
The boots were worn during Hogan’s main event appearance alongside Mr. T against “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff — a match widely credited with changing the trajectory of professional wrestling forever. Heritage further detailed the authenticity and condition of the item, including Hogan’s own inscription: “These are my real boots with my real blood on them from MSG, Hulk Hogan.”
The pair carried multiple letters of authentication, including photo-match verification and full PSA/DNA documentation, solidifying their connection to one of the most influential nights in wrestling history.
This sale comes less than a year after Hogan’s passing and follows another major Hogan memorabilia sale earlier in 2026, when a boot from WrestleMania X8 sold for $146,400. But this latest auction didn’t just break a record — it reset the market entirely. The million-dollar threshold has officially been crossed, and it’s all because of Hulk Hogan.
