The official cause of Hulk Hogan’s death has been confirmed — and it reveals the wrestling icon was fighting more than anyone knew.

According to the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center via PageSix, Hogan died from acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack. That’s when blood flow to the heart is suddenly blocked, causing damage to heart muscle. His death has been ruled natural.

Shockingly, the report also disclosed Hogan had been living with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) — a type of cancer affecting white blood cells. There had been no public mention of Hogan battling cancer prior to his death. The documents further listed a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), a condition that causes an irregular and often rapid heart rate.

Hogan went into cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida home on July 24. He was transported to Morton Plant Hospital and pronounced dead. He was 71.

A spokesperson from the medical examiner’s office confirmed they’ve received a cremation request but said, “I am not aware when Mr. Bollea will be cremated.”

This news comes rumors and speculation about Hogan’s health — but no one expected a secret cancer diagnosis to be part of the story.
