Hulk Hogan’s Real American Freestyle Wrestling has all the hype in the world right now since fans are curious whether the venture will actually be successful. With that said, it appears Jim Cornette doesn’t believe Hulk Hogan is fit to be in his current role for the promotion.

While speaking on his YouTube channel, Jim Cornette blasted Hulk Hogan, saying that when it comes to real, high-level amateur wrestling, Hogan would be one of the last names anyone would mention.

From his experience with people in both amateur and pro wrestling, Cornette said most amateur wrestlers disliked Hogan during his Hulkamania days because his style felt fake to them, even though that style made a lot of money.

“In all seriousness, when you think of high-quality amateur wrestling, the name Hulk Hogan would be almost at the bottom of the list of anybody in the professional wrestling business. And I know for a fact from working with people who have been involved in all of these worlds that in the time of Hulkamania, actually as it was happening, most of the amateur wrestlers hated him because it was the b******* wrestling that they weren’t doing. But these b******* wrestlers were making millions of dollars.”

Cornette made fun of the idea that Hogan still matters in wrestling today or understands the current scene. He said if WWE wants to keep up their recent success and big TV deals, someone like Steve Austin would make more sense because Austin has the personality and respect for the business. According to Cornette, the Hulkster is all flash with no real skill or credibility, calling his whole style “b*******” from the start.

“Just the idea that he can in any way relate to any of this, and that somebody thinks that he’s still happening in wrestling—oh, well, we’ll capitalize on this incredible roll that the WWE is on, and the big rights fees and all this stuff, and we’ll get not Steve Austin, but Hulk Hogan.

I can understand if somebody went to Austin with this, because he, being himself, could pull it off as a personality and with respect to what the other guys were doing. But Hogan is just going to be b*******, ’cause that’s what he—his DNA—is made of: bull and s***. He has zero credibility and experience here.”

This isn’t the only time Hulk Hogan was called out for remarks he made about his promotion, since he was called delusional over his claim that his promotion would be bigger than WWE and UFC. Regardless, we’ll have to see if Hogan’s promotion will surpass all expectations and end up becoming better than anyone thinks, since Jim Cornette doesn’t think that can happen.
