Hulk Hogan’s health has taken another worrying turn, according to longtime friend and radio host Bubba the Love Sponge. While rumors of Hogan being on his deathbed were previously dismissed, Bubba now claims the WWE legend is in rough shape—allegedly unable to speak due to damage to his trachea.
On his YouTube channel, Bubba said the update came from a conversation Jimmy Hart had with someone close to him.
“Jimmy Hart told my source, ‘What? Hogan’s not doing well. He can’t speak. His trachea or whatever was damaged, and he’s having problems, and it does not look good.’ That’s what I was told. So, he does not look good at all.”
According to Bubba’s source, Hogan has left the hospital and is now resting at home—but not without serious medical accommodations.
“My source also said he was transported to his house, but he’s still—like—they got him set up in a hospital bed. It’s just like being at the hospital. They’ve done all they can at the hospital now. They’re just keeping him comfortable at his house in a hospital bed.”
While the WWE Hall of Famer is reportedly stable enough to no longer need emergency-level care, doctors and nurses are visiting him at home to monitor his condition closely.
“He’s not in such bad shape that he needs to be close to an emergency room. He’s stable enough to be at home, but instead of sitting in the hospital getting bed sores or muscle atrophy at Morton Plant, at least he can be home with doctors and nurses checking in on him. That’s where I’ve been told he’s at now.”
The source also described the extreme secrecy around Hogan’s release from the hospital, likening it to the kind of security protocol reserved for global superstars.
“The lengths they went to in order to make sure nobody saw him being transported in an ambulance were like Michael Jackson-type stuff.”
“I’ve been told—allegedly—my source says it was all done through the back sally port, like the loading dock area. Yes, a couple of unmarked ambulances followed by an escort, all backed up to the house with the garage door open so nobody could see the transport, which happened in the middle of the night.”
At this time, Hogan and his camp have not confirmed any of these claims. But if the reports are true, it paints a troubling picture of one of wrestling’s most iconic figures facing serious health challenges away from the spotlight.
It’s tough to hear these kinds of updates about someone as larger-than-life as Hulk Hogan. Hopefully, the silence means he’s resting and recovering on his own terms.
