WWE didn’t let a massive East Coast weather system stop the momentum heading into Royal Rumble weekend—because when flights before RAW got canceled, they loaded up vans and kept the show on the road.

With back-to-back events in Montreal and Toronto just days before heading to Saudi Arabia, WWE talent and staff were staring down major travel disruptions. Flights were being grounded across the region—but instead of panicking, WWE shifted into emergency mode and made sure no one would miss RAW.

The update came straight from Lilian Garcia, who took to her Instagram story on January 25 to document the wild night after Saturday Night’s Main Event. Garcia revealed that the company quickly arranged ground transportation once airline alerts started coming in.

“So it’s been a rather interesting night,” Garcia said in her IG Story. “Before last night’s show started, lots of us started getting alerts that our flights from Montreal to Toronto for Raw were getting canceled. WWE quickly started renting some vans and immediately following the show, we all hopped on, and off we went.”

That’s right—Superstars, announcers, and crew members piled into vans late at night and hit the road, determined to get to Toronto before weather delays wrecked RAW.

“So that’s where I find myself at this hour,” she continued. “In a van with the crew and Superstars because rain, sleet or shine… THE SHOW MUST GO ON!”

WWE had already told Fightful Select that they had multiple contingency plans in place for travel this week—including “options, backup options, and backup backup options.” Now fans know just how far they were willing to go to keep everything running.

With Royal Rumble weekend shaping up to be one of WWE’s most loaded in years, the company is clearly ready to improvise—and hustle—to make sure every show goes live.
