Tommaso Ciampa made an immediate impact in AEW, showing up on the January 28 edition of Dynamite, confronting Mark Briscoe and later that week capturing the TNT Championship in his in-ring debut. But it wasn’t just the surprise or the title win that had people talking—it was also the brand-new entrance music.

In a video shared by AEW on social media, Ciampa opened up about working closely with AEW’s music producer Mikey Rukus to create the theme. According to Ciampa, the entire process came together in less than two days, and it was unlike anything he had experienced before.

“For this all to just fall together in 48 hours, like talking with Mike Mansury and talking about here’s my vision of a tron and then seeing it come to fruition. and then talking to Mikey Rukus and saying, this is the music that I’ve always wanted, here’s the elements, here’s four songs, here’s the parts I like, and 48 hours with them, 36 hours with them, it was a blast,” Ciampa said.

He explained how collaborative the process was from the jump.

“Like, I’ve never been able to collaborate with somebody who’s a music artist in that way, where it’s just your opinion matters so much, and it was just this back and forth of just, I don’t know, just jiving. I’ve never met this dude, you know what I mean? I can’t wait to meet him now, because what he put together was true. He just crushed it.”

Ciampa walked into AEW with a fully developed vibe—new music, a defined entrance, and a sense of purpose. This behind-the-scenes look gives more context to how seriously he took that debut.
