She came back, stood right over me, and said, ‘I don’t know how to say this, so I’ll just say it—Hulk died.’ I was like, ‘Okay.’ She asked, ‘Are you alright?’ and I said, ‘Let me process this.’
So I sat up in the bed, swung my legs around, opened the blinds, and I’m looking out at Alaska. I just sat there trying to take it all in, like—wow.”
“On top of all that, I had zero Wi-Fi. Nothing. I didn’t want to be silent after a friend’s death, so I had to get dressed and head to the Wi-Fi café where there was at least a bit of a signal.
I put out a quick tweet and an Instagram post just to say something. At that point, no one else on the ship really knew yet. So for the next couple of days, it was people coming up to me like, ‘Sorry about Hulk.'”
