WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan passed away on July 24, 2025 and now his close friend Kevin Nash has revealed when he found out about the tragic news.

While speaking on the Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash was asked when he first heard the news that Hulk Hogan had died. He said he was lying in bed on a cruise ship while his wife was out on an excursion in Alaska.

When she returned, she stood over him and told him, “I don’t know how to say this, so I’ll just say it—Hulk died.” Nash said his first response was simply, “Okay.” When she asked if he was alright, he told her he needed a moment to process it.

Nash sat up in bed, swung his legs around and opened the blinds to look out at the Alaskan scenery. He sat there quietly, trying to take it all in. On top of the shock, he also had no Wi-Fi access.

“I was laying in bed on the cruise ship. My wife had gone on an excursion in Alaska, and I was just lying there. She came back, stood right over me, and said, ‘I don’t know how to say this, so I’ll just say it—Hulk died.’ I was like, ‘Okay.’ She asked, ‘Are you alright?’ and I said, ‘Let me process this.’

So I sat up in the bed, swung my legs around, opened the blinds, and I’m looking out at Alaska. I just sat there trying to take it all in, like—wow.”

Not wanting to remain silent after losing a friend, Kevin Nash quickly got dressed and went to the ship’s Wi-Fi café to find a weak signal. There he posted a short tweet and Instagram message to acknowledge the news.

At that point, most people on the ship still hadn’t heard. Over the next couple of days, people kept coming up to him saying, “Sorry about Hulk.”

“On top of all that, I had zero Wi-Fi. Nothing. I didn’t want to be silent after a friend’s death, so I had to get dressed and head to the Wi-Fi café where there was at least a bit of a signal.

I put out a quick tweet and an Instagram post just to say something. At that point, no one else on the ship really knew yet. So for the next couple of days, it was people coming up to me like, ‘Sorry about Hulk.'”

For Kevin Nash, losing Hogan hit hard, and the strange way he found out about Hogan’s death made it even more emotional. As fans keep paying tribute to Hogan, it’s simply a fact there will never be another Hulk Hogan in the world of professional wrestling.
