Elayna Black is finally opening up about her relationship with KC Navarro—and why they chose to keep it private until now.
Just days after her explosive TNA Wrestling debut on AMC, the former NXT star confirmed her relationship with KC Navarro in a now-viral Tweet showing the two kissing backstage with the caption: “Blessed ❤️” But now we’ve got the full story.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio on January 28, 2026, Elayna Black opened up for the first time about how the relationship with Navarro started—and why they kept it private for months.
“Well, what’s funny about me and KC—we’d been on indie shows together like six or seven years ago at this point and never said a word to each other. It was very random. But I saw that he was friends with one of my best friends, Indi Hartwell, so I was like, he’s gotta be a good guy if he’s friends with her, since she doesn’t like people who are a**holes.”
With KC recovering from an injury and Elayna taking a short break from wrestling, things unexpectedly clicked. He slid into her DMs and the rest was simply history.
“He slid into my DMs and here we are,” she added. “This was a few months ago, but we wanted to wait a while to make it public because everyone has their opinions and they can be annoying. I didn’t want anyone to suspect I was coming to TNA because my boyfriend was in TNA. So I just wanted to wait. We’ve been together for a while now, so whatever people say doesn’t matter anymore.”
Elayna Black’s decision to go public came just as she threw herself into the Knockouts Title scene, confronting champion Léi Yǐng Lee at Genesis after Lee’s win over Zaria. The timing of the relationship reveal—alongside a potential title push—has only fueled speculation and attention.
But if Elayna’s comments are anything to go by, she’s staying locked in on her goals—both personally and professionally—and isn’t losing sleep over the internet’s noise.
So, what do you think about Elayna Black’s reveal? Do relationship stories help or hurt a wrestler’s rise in a new company? Drop your thoughts below—we’re listening!
