Heatwave Grudge Match Added During 8/5 WWE NXT

This new Heatwave match could be fire.

The August 5 episode of WWE NXT included some interesting angles as the brand continued building for their next premium live event. That included Jordynne Grace showing up and running Blake Monroe off during the former Mariah May’s match with Kelani Jordan.

After Kelani Jordan won via countout, Jordynne Grace approached Ava backstage. She wanted to get her hands on Blake Monroe, despite the fact that Grace was rocking a neck brace. Then Ava told her that her match against Monroe has been booked for Heatwave.

Later on, Ava also booked Hank & Tank to defend their NXT Tag Team Titles against two members of Dark State. That match is something the champions asked for, because Dark State attacked them this week.

WWE NXT Heatwave will take place on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts. We will keep a close eye on anything else that they add to the card.
