A major title change rocked AEW Collision on January 17, as Hangman Page and JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey) captured the AEW World Trios Championships, defeating The Opps—Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata, and Powerhouse Hobbs—in a high-octane main event.

The finish came when Kevin Knight pinned Hobbs with a sunset flip, securing the upset and officially kicking off the first championship reign for this newly formed trio.

The Opps’ title run ends at 264 days, with six successful defenses under their belt. The reign was one of the longest in the history of the AEW Trios division, and it elevated all three members as a dominant unit across both Dynamite and Collision.

As for Hangman and JetSpeed, their win brings momentum to a fresh alliance and opens the door for unique trios matchups moving forward. With Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight already known for their speed and striking—and Hangman’s big-match power—the new champs may prove to be one of AEW’s most dynamic teams.

Do you think AEW made the right call putting the Trios Titles on Hangman & JetSpeed? And is Hobbs heading to WWE the right move for his career? Sound off in the comments below.
