Hangman Page is coming clean—kind of. The AEW star has opened up about some of his most controversial actions over the past two years, including the brutal feud with Swerve Strickland that saw him go as far as burning down Strickland’s childhood home.
Speaking during The Good, The Bad And The Hangman special, Page admitted he’s made some questionable decisions along the way—but insisted he’s not some irredeemable villain.
“I’m not a piece of sh*t. I have never really been a full piece of shit. I’ve just made some decisions that maybe weren’t the best.”
Page said he was fully aware of what he was doing at the time and made the conscious choice to go down that path, despite knowing better.
“It doesn’t mean that I didn’t recognize them for what they were when I did. You know, I’m not a character of a person. I am a person. I fully recognized the good and the bad in everything that I was doing. I just decided to do the bad.”
This revelation gives fans a deeper glimpse into the man behind the character. While he doesn’t excuse his actions, Page makes it clear he knew exactly what he was doing—and did it anyway.
Love him or hate him, Hangman Page is still one of the most complex figures in AEW today. Whether this signals a new chapter or just adds to his story remains to be seen.
