Goldberg isn’t shy when it comes to talking about his legacy—and he doesn’t think WWE’s take on undefeated streaks sits right.

While speaking on Real Talk with Mike Burke, the former WCW powerhouse brought up Asuka’s legendary run in WWE and seemed to suggest the company intentionally mirrored his streak to erase the past. When asked if a dominant win streak like his 173–0 WCW run could ever happen again, Goldberg pointed to a familiar face in WWE.

“They already did,” said Goldberg. “Some girl at WWE. They did it on purpose. I have nothing against the girl, by any means, but yeah.”

That “some girl” was Asuka—who racked up 914 days without a single loss between NXT and the main roster. While Goldberg didn’t name her directly, the timeline and context make it obvious. But this wasn’t just about streaks for Goldberg—it was about how WWE operates.

“The whole WWE experience…I was part of WCW when we were kicking their ass in the Monday Night Wars. I didn’t know what was going on at the time, I was just on one of the sides. Now, one side dissolves and the other one consumes everything, so they can treat everyone and everything the way they want.”

Goldberg also suggested that WWE still holds a grudge against him because of his role in WCW’s dominance during the late ‘90s.

“I think there is always going to be the bird in their ass that I was part of a company where I was the champion in a very short period of time and we were beating them in the ratings.”

Even after all these years, it’s clear that Goldberg sees WWE’s booking choices—like Asuka’s streak—as part of a larger power play tied to his WCW legacy.
