Goldberg’s retirement tour isn’t getting an encore—at least not in WWE.
During his interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, the wrestling icon shut down any lingering hope that he might pop back up on WWE TV now that his final match against GUNTHER is in the rearview mirror.
Ariel Helwani asked the question fans have been dying to know—whether Goldberg would be showing up at SummerSlam or making any future WWE appearances. Goldberg didn’t hesitate.
“Yeah, I don’t think I’m lingering anywhere around the WWE in any time future—by any stretch of the imagination.”
That’s a hard stop from a guy who’s made sporadic comebacks for years. But in true wrestling fashion, Goldberg couldn’t resist leaving the faintest glimmer of a maybe… someday.
“But like I said, man, you know… hey, wrestling world—you’re never retired until you’re dead. And I ain’t dead yet, man. So it was reinvigorating. It was a lot of fun. It taught me that I could do things that I never thought I could do.”
Translation: Don’t expect him back anytime soon—but never say never.
After all, wrestling history is full of retirements that didn’t stick. Still, Goldberg’s tone suggests he’s closing the WWE chapter for good. No farewell tour. No SummerSlam cameo. Just one last fight, and then out the door.
