Goldberg made his shocking return during the June 16th edition of Raw and confronted GUNTHER for a World Title match. This led to a ton of backlash since many felt Goldberg did nothing to earn a title shot and now Goldberg has responded to the criticism.

While speaking to JAKIB Sports, Goldberg responded to Bully Ray’s comments about him suddenly getting a title match without earning it or “standing in line.” Goldberg disagreed, saying he had a record of 176 wins and no losses, so he didn’t need to wait in line.

The WWE Hall of Famer said Bully Ray can say what he wants because everyone has opinions, especially since Bully Ray has a wrestling podcast. Goldberg added that he still respects him, but people will always have something to say.

“I was 176-0. I don’t have to stand in freaking line. I don’t think so either, yeah, exactly. So Bully Ray can bite me. I could care, but everybody’s got an opinion, and Bully Ray has a podcast that’s about wrestling, right? So of course he’s going to chime in and give his two cents. I love him to death and I respect his opinion, but his opinion is like an a******—everybody’s got one, right? So that’s fine.”

Goldberg also talked about fans saying he’s limping, smaller, or too old. Goldberg admitted he is old and made it clear there’s nothing to be done since he can’t turn back time.

The WWE Hall of Famer challenged anyone to find another 58-year-old willing to do what he does in the ring. He said there are a few out there, but he plans to do better than all of them and even better than he’s done in the past.

“Everybody’s like, ‘Oh, Goldberg’s limping to the ring, Goldberg’s small, Goldberg’s old.’ I am freaking old! What do you want me to do, show up at 20 years old, turn the clock back? Show me another 58-year-old dude that’s willing to go out and do this. I mean, there’s a couple. But I’m going to hopefully surpass their performance. And at the end of the day, I’ve got to surpass my own performance from the past.”

GUNTHER has already made it clear he is not afraid of Goldberg and will just squash him in three minutes at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see if Goldberg stands any chance against the Ring General.
