Goldberg has officially staked his claim as the undisputed king of the spear.

On Monday, the WWE Hall of Famer jumped on social media to sound off on the wrestling world’s growing list of spear-happy Superstars. From Roman Reigns to Edge to Bobby Lashley, plenty of top names have made the spear their signature. But according to Goldberg, there’s only one original.

“Often imitated, never duplicated,” Goldberg wrote, referring to his bone-rattling version of the move that’s taken down legends for over two decades.

Unlike the slick, stylized versions delivered by some of today’s stars, Goldberg’s spear has always been a full-on, football-style tackle—more blitz than flourish. His version helped make the move famous during his WCW run and cemented its status in WWE when he bulldozed through stars like The Rock, Brock Lesnar, and Triple H.

While Roman Reigns’ Superman-style spear and Edge’s calculated approach have their fans, Goldberg made it clear he’s not here for the comparisons. His spear? Still undefeated in intensity.

And fans had plenty to say about it—some agreeing that Goldberg’s version still hits hardest, others defending the evolution of the move through modern-day execution.

So what do you think: Does Goldberg still own the best spear in wrestling history, or have the new generation taken it to another level? Drop your take in the comments and let us know who you think delivers the most brutal spear in the game.
