Goldberg Claims WWE Gave Others the Spear Just to Downplay His

Goldberg isn’t holding back when it comes to his thoughts on who should be allowed to use the spear in WWE.

Following The Undertaker’s recent comments praising Bron Breakker’s devastating spear on IShowSpeed during the 2025 Royal Rumble, Goldberg has doubled down—making it crystal clear that Breakker has his full blessing to be the exclusive user of the move going forward.

In a new interview with SHAK Wrestling, Goldberg was asked directly about The Undertaker’s remarks. He wasted no time backing them up with full force.

“A thousand percent. And I saw that interview. Number one. Number two, it’s pretty funny that that interview came up when I’m retiring and it didn’t have anything to do with me because, you know, let’s just talk about the reason why everybody started doing the spear at the WWE. I mean, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that one out, right? I mean, let’s be perfectly honest. They did it to make mine look bad or, you know, to downplay mine.”

Goldberg also revealed he had a heart-to-heart with Breakker and made his feelings crystal clear:

“And I had the conversation last night with Bron and I told him my feelings on it and I think a thousand percent he’s the only human being in the WWE that should be doing that. Now, I know I’m going to catch a lot of hell from that, but I don’t care because that’s the truth. I mean, it is what it is.”

The Hall of Famer didn’t stop there. In a blind spear-ranking game during the same interview, Goldberg initially placed Bron Breakker at #1—until his own name was added. That’s when he corrected things on the spot.

“Okay, well, I’m number one and Bron’s number two.”
