AEW just locked in another key piece of its roster — and they made sure fans saw it coming.

On August 6, Kaun of Gates of Agony dropped a photo on Twitter featuring himself, tag partner Toa Liona, and AEW boss Tony Khan, all suited up and smiling. The caption? A not-so-subtle tease:

“The marathon continues. ALL Elite: The Sequel #Quest4Gold”

Shortly after the photo hit social media, Fightful Select confirmed what many suspected — both Kaun and Toa Liona have signed new long-term, multi-year contracts with All Elite Wrestling.

The duo, who were previously part of the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions alongside Brian Cage, are now aligning themselves with Ricochet in AEW as part of a newly formed faction. With Cage currently out due to injury, the timing of these contracts points to big plans ahead. Steve Kaye of Paragon Talent Agency negotiated the deals with Khan.

This move keeps Gates of Agony firmly in AEW’s future, just as the company builds around rising stables and newly signed stars. The new alliance with Ricochet could be the next chapter in AEW’s faction-driven storytelling — and it’s clear Khan wants Kaun and Liona locked in for the long haul.
