Gallus Nearly Landed in AEW Before MLW Move

Gallus might be headed to MLW—but that wasn’t always the plan.

According to Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, Joe and Mark Coffey had some serious momentum behind the scenes at AEW before landing their upcoming MLW gigs.

AEW sources were apparently pushing hard to bring the Scottish duo into the fold late last year. While nothing came of it, the interest was real. Notably, Wolfgang—who rounds out the Gallus trio—wasn’t mentioned in the AEW talks, though he’s also working MLW dates.

All three members were recently spotted backstage at AEW Dynamite, fueling more speculation. With visas in place and their post-WWE schedule heating up, it seems like Gallus are back on the radar in the U.S. indie scene.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful clarified that despite their MLW appearances, it hasn’t been confirmed that Gallus officially signed with the promotion. The trio were cut from WWE back in May 2025, but WWE once had main roster plans for the group before letting them go.

The wrestling world might’ve seen Gallus in AEW colors if a few more dominoes had fallen.
