Charlie Kirk’s assassination is one of the most shocking incidents in recent memory and it has even affected those in wrestling. This includes Gail Kim, who has received a lot of racist attacks for condemning his murder and she has now pushed back against the racist attacks.

It all started when Gail Kim took to Twitter and made it clear she did not condone what happened to Charlie Kirk and some fans attacked her for mourning Kirk, who accused him of being a misogynist and racist and called out Kim for supporting Kirk while condemning WWE for the same things.

“I can bash and be against it and speak out. Does that mean I want them to die??? Your take is certainly a choice too.”

Gail Kim then took to Twitter and responded to backlash after she mourned Charlie Kirk’s murder, explaining that her message was about peace and dialogue, not politics. She said she doesn’t condone violence and feels people are so divided by hate that they think she’s choosing sides, when in fact she’s asking for the opposite.

“I’m guessing it’s because I said I want peace and conversation in life. And that I don’t condone murder. People are so divided right now that they cannot open their minds out of the hate. They think I’m saying you have to pick aside and that’s actually the opposite of that.”

In another tweet, Gail Kim followed up by addressing racist comments, saying it shocks her how much hate people spread when she simply calls for peace and dialogue. She pointed out that some accuse one side of racism while, in the same breath, attack her for marrying a white man, which she finds deeply frustrating. Kim added that it shows how damaging social media has become.

“It’s amazing the amount of hatred people spew when you say you want peace & conversations They talk about how one side is so racist and in the next breath, they say oh you marry a rich white guy and that’s how you feel that way .Blows my mind what social media has done to our (1/2).”

Gail Kim added that she married her husband out of love, not money, and that he wasn’t rich when they met. She said the hateful comments about her marriage come from people unwilling to hear anything that doesn’t match their own views.

Kim added that when she promotes peace and love, some people respond with slurs and insults, which only proves where the real hate lies. She stated that she refuses to give in to negativity and will always stand against division and hate.

“World. Just so people know yes my husband is white. I married him because I love him and he wasn’t rich when I met him. Not that that matters because that’s just hatred being spewed at me because they’re not hearing exactly what they want. Peace and love everybody ❤️🙌🏼

I say Peace and Love right now and people say F*** you, you racist and privileged Asian who married a white man! Now who’s the hateful people here? And I won’t budge. I do not like divisiveness and hate. So you won’t convince me otherwise.”

Gail Kim’s response to the tragedy around Charlie Kirk’s assassination shows how tense and divided things are right now, even for people outside politics. It’s totally unfair to see Kim getting racist attacks over her stance on Kirk’s assassination and we hope people stop attacking her.
