Gail Kim has never been afraid to speak her mind, and her latest round of tweets proves she’s still not backing down.
After sparking conversation online about wrestling companies exaggerating attendance numbers, the TNA legend found herself at the center of yet another AEW-related storm. It started when Kim commented that every major promotion inflates its attendance figures — not just one.
“😂😂 to be fair, I believe all companies across the board exaggerate their numbers … ALLLL the time!”
That remark was enough to ignite some AEW fans, leading to a heated exchange when one user accused her of being “obsessed” with AEW President Tony Khan. Kim shot that down immediately, making it clear she was just responding to others who dragged Khan into the discussion.
“I’m actually not. People do bring this up and I reply. Then I’m ‘obsessed.’ I actually have had only pleasant and positive experiences with Tony. Not that many, but he’s very nice. More like the company’s diehards are more obsessed.”
But things didn’t end there. In a follow-up post, Kim fired off a shot heard around wrestling Twitter, taking direct aim at the loudest corners of the AEW fanbase.
“Oh here come the crybabies… You know who I’m talking about 😉😉😉”
Former WWE and TNA star Matt Morgan jumped in on the fun, replying, “lol!! Uh-oh! What did the ‘overly evil Heel Kim’ do now?!” Kim simply responded, “Tweet.”
Another user, MykiieyDance2, asked her, “Who did you piss off now lol?” Kim fired back, “The outrage group as per usual.”
NWA’s Tiffany Nieves also jumped in to show her support, telling Kim, “Gail ur so funny so glad you say what I can’t 😭.” Kim replied with a knowing laugh, “Hahaha me too. I was trapped in verbal prison for a long time. I get it.”
The exchange shows why Gail Kim remains one of the most outspoken figures in wrestling — unfiltered, sharp, and unwilling to bend when fans come for her. At the end of the day, Kim isn’t attacking AEW or Tony Khan. She’s calling out the fan outrage cycle that turns harmless comments into social media meltdowns — and she’s clearly enjoying every minute of it.
