Gail Kim has decided to call out people who were constantly body-shaming the returning legends at the WWE Evolution 2 Premium Live Event.

Gail Kim took to Twitter and said she’s seen a lot of comments about how the returning legends looked at Evolution. She pointed out that many of these comments focused on their age and appearance, which is exactly what causes body image issues, something she still struggles with today.

Kim urged people to think before they speak. She noted that before the event, fans were excited just thinking about which legends might show up but once they did, people started judging how they looked. Gail asked everyone to stop doing that and to remember these are human beings who gave so much to wrestling, and that’s what should be celebrated.

“I’m noticing a lot of comments regarding the legends that were on Evolution last night. It seems like a huge amount of comments are in regards to their aging and looks. That’s where all our dysmorphia comes from which I still go through today. Think before you comment. Pre PPV, people were just excited about who they could possibly see show up. Then when they see them, critiques on their looks. Please don’t do this. We are all human beings. Remember and celebrate what they gave to the business.”

The Evolution 2 Premium Live Event included legends such as Torrie Wilson, Trish Stratus, Cherry, Vickie Guerrero and numerous other names who were involved in the business over the years.

Gail Kim’s message is a clear reminder that wrestling legends deserve our respect and thanks for all they’ve done, not getting shamed for getting older. She wants fans to focus on celebrating what these stars did in the ring and that’s all that should matter in the end.
