Gail Kim is stepping back into the spotlight for the first—and only—time in 2025.
After stepping away from public life following a dramatic departure from TNA earlier this year, the wrestling legend just confirmed she’ll be making her one and only appearance of the year at the GCW Fan Slam Convention in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Kim broke the news via Twitter on November 20.
“SURPRISE 🙌🏼 My one and only appearance this year and I’ll be in East Rutherford NJ at the @GCWrestling_ Fan Slam Convention this Saturday Nov 22nd from 12-2pm”
The announcement marks Kim’s first public appearance since her early-2025 firing from TNA following major backstage shake-ups. At the time, she declared she was taking the entire year off to reset and focus on herself. Just weeks ago, she posted that she was open to bookings again in 2026—but made it very clear she was done with in-ring action.
“Said I was taking 2025 for myself and now I’m ready to grind again! 🙌🏼 it was a much needed time to reset ❤️ Taking bookings/appearances for 2026… I will not be open to wrestling matches, just an FYI…. I’m REALLY retired from that aspect 😉”
Kim’s re-emergence comes after public frustration earlier this summer, when she called out how the Knockouts division was being handled. She revealed she had been trying to elevate homegrown talent long before TNA’s new leadership took over.
“On comments recently about the KO division needing to be reinvigorated, I want to let it be known that I was pushing for that for a year plus before Carlos Silva came in… I was fighting for that since Scott departed.”
While she’s not lacing up the boots again, Gail Kim’s presence at the GCW Fan Slam Convention is already generating buzz. Fans now have one shot to see the Hall of Famer in person before she starts booking appearances for 2026.
Kim made it clear this appearance is a rare one—and with no more scheduled for the rest of the year, it could be a long wait before she steps out again.
