Gabe Kidd has made bold claims about New Japan Pro Wrestling, stating that it is the top destination for the best wrestlers in the business. Known for his fearless attitude and ability to clown anyone in the pro wrestling world, Kidd has now turned his attention to CM Punk and Jack Perry’s brawl at All In 2023.
While speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Gabe Kidd was asked to compare the brawl between CM Punk and Jack Perry at All In 2023 with his backstage fight with Kenny Omega. He said that the Punk-Perry brawl wasn’t even a real fight, calling it the most embarrassing thing he ever saw in his life.
Kidd mentioned it was just a push, a slap, and a front face lock. He then pointed out that in his fight with Kenny Omega, the Best Bout Machine was thrown through a metal barrier, making the comparison ridiculous.
“Come on, man, you can’t even call that a brawl. How are you going to call that a brawl? That was the most embarrassing thing I ever saw in my life. That was—oh my God, he pushed him, and he slapped him, and put him in a front face. So talking about scrapping? Shut up, man. Kenny got double-legged through a metal barrier. So that’s a silly question to ask.”
CM Punk wasn’t very happy about AEW airing his backstage brawl with Jack Perry either. Regardless, Gabe Kidd’s attitude towards the brawl isn’t really surprising as he loves creating controversy at everyone else’s expense no matter what.
