Gabe Kidd isn’t biting his tongue when it comes to veteran wrestlers who refuse to step aside. The NJPW star took to Twitter on January 23 and made it clear that he’s had enough of older talent trying to hold onto their main event spots.
“If you a pro wrestler touching fifty/over fifty, I got some advice from a serious young vet,” Kidd wrote before listing out exactly what he thinks they should be doing instead of worrying about their next entrance.
“Get a girlfriend. Join a golf club or summet. Learn how to enjoy time with your friends without picturing your next entrance. Stop thinking regardless of what you’ve done in your career that you still have to be in the main event. You’re an unc now, bro. Let it go like ya name was Elsaaaaaaaaaaaa.”
Kidd didn’t stop there, taking a final shot at veterans who he believes are clinging to relevance. “Pisses me off, these butthurt bitches acting like gatekeepers when the reality is you walk like you’re tryna hold a fart in. Say hi to ya mam for me whilst you’re at it. Kind regards, GK0115.”
The brash NJPW star has never been one to hold back, but this latest rant might ruffle some feathers among veteran wrestlers. Kidd has already been outspoken about his feelings on AEW, previously trashing the Continental Classic as a “fake G1,” and now he’s shifting his attention to longtime names in the business.
Whether any veteran responds to Kidd remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure—he’s not afraid to speak his mind.
Gabe Kidd isn’t pulling any punches, and he clearly doesn’t care who gets offended. Whether he’s got a point or just looking to stir things up, one thing’s certain—some veteran wrestlers are going to take this personally. If anyone fires back, don’t expect Kidd to back down anytime soon.
