It was announced during last night’s NJPW Strong Style Evolved event that NJPW will be making a return to California this year.
G1 Special will return this year on Saturday, July 7 and will take place at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, California. The venue chosen this year can accommodate 13,000+, which is a drastic increase than last year’s 2,300 at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center.
The event which is taglined as “The Fighting Spirit Unleashed” will see a clash with other events on the same date as it is the same day when UFC 226 will be airing and WWE will be hosting a Live Event in the Madison Square Garden where Ronda Rousey will be making her MSG debut.
