Independent wrestler Syko Stu is still in the hospital following a brutal real-life attack during a KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy event—and now, a close friend is speaking out with raw emotion and a disturbing photo of Stu’s current condition.

On August 23, 2025, Syko Stu—real name Stuart Smith—was legitimately assaulted during a match by Raja Jackson, the son of MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. This was not a storyline or scripted angle. Raja Jackson charged the ring post-match and delivered a violent series of real punches that knocked Stu unconscious.

The assault came after backstage footage surfaced showing KnokX Pro’s AJ Mana instructing Raja Jackson to “give him his f**king receipt” following what was reportedly a botched beer-can spot earlier in the show. The fallout from that moment has triggered a full LAPD investigation and backlash against the promotion for allegedly enabling the attack.

Now, Jonovan Smith—a friend of the injured wrestler—has posted an emotional update along with a photo of Stu lying unconscious in a hospital bed.

“To see him like this pains my heart. I believe that Knox Pro is at fault for these events, to have allowed this to happen is beyond belief. Honestly I’m upset.”

Syko Stu suffered broken facial bones, dental trauma, and remains under close medical care. He is a U.S. Army veteran who used wrestling to cope with PTSD, making this situation even more devastating for those who know him.

In response to the growing outcry, an official GoFundMe has now been launched to support Stu’s medical bills and lost income. The fundraiser reads:

“On August 23rd he was involved in an unscripted assault that has left him in the hospital with intense recovery needed to regain good health.”

“This incident has not only caused major physical harm, but will also disrupt his career inside the ring and outside of it.”

Stu’s brother Andrew Smith offered a brief but optimistic update:

“Stuart is conscious and does have some recollection of events from the day of the attack. He’s currently resting and says, ‘Thank you for the love and support.’”

The wrestling world is still reeling from the shocking nature of this incident—a real-life beatdown caught on video, greenlit by someone backstage, and carried out in front of a live audience. With an LAPD investigation underway and serious questions surrounding KnokX Pro’s involvement, the pressure is now mounting for accountability.
