Fred Ottman, known to wrestling fans as Typhoon and The Shockmaster, just confirmed that he’s officially under a WWE Legends contract.
While speaking at a virtual signing for Rich Degregorio, Ottman casually dropped the news while discussing the world of wrestling action figures.
“There’s so many people that are making (action) figures outside. You got the Hasbro that’s up toward here. But, there’s so many. There’s a new — two brothers — that Adam Bomb just had a new figure out. I forgot what they’re called because I had talked to them. They did call me on the phone about some stuff and everything and you know, I’m under a Legends deal and you know, I’m kind of funny that way.”
The WWE Legends deal is a way for the company to keep past stars in the fold, often leading to merchandise opportunities, appearances, and special projects. With Ottman still involved in the wrestling world, it makes sense that WWE would want to keep him under their umbrella.
This news comes just as Ottman also revealed that The Natural Disasters (Typhoon & Earthquake) will be inducted into the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame, though WWE has yet to make an official announcement. So far, the only confirmed names for the class include Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Michelle McCool, and Lex Luger.
