The July 11 episode of WWE SmackDown went down at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. That city is known for music, and a metal legend was on hand this week.

Fred Durst is a big WWE fan. He famously was a playable character in a game many years ago, which was a special request so they could use one of Limp Bizkit’s songs. This week on SmackDown, he was on hand.

During the first hour of SmackDown this week, they spotted Fred Durst in the crowd. The Limp Bizkit frontman gave the camera a nod as he enjoyed the show.

WWE has used music from a lot of artists over the years. There was certainly a time when Limp Bizkit was considered WWE’s favorite band, as they even announced it during WrestleMania XIX performance.

After that, the women’s division got to show off in a tag team match. Fred Durst was likely on hand for the whole show, because he is a legit fan, and has been for years. Only time will tell if he ever finds his way back into another WWE video game.
