ECW legend Francine gave fans a gut-wrenching health scare earlier this week when she revealed live on her Eyes Up Here podcast that she was waiting on an urgent call from her doctor. Now, she’s shared a sobering update—and while the news isn’t devastating, it’s definitely serious.

Francine confirmed that a small mass was discovered in her left breast following an ultrasound—despite her mammogram showing nothing alarming. The mass wasn’t visible on the mammogram due to dense breast tissue, something Francine says many women experience as they get older.

“They said my breasts are very dense and I know a lot of women, when they get older, they go through this. Their breasts are dense, and they have to take extra precautions when they get their boobs checked. Because sometimes the mammogram doesn’t pick everything up and that’s why they do an ultrasound. So in that case, that’s what happened to me. So my mammogram came back clear, nothing showing really but the ultrasound picked up a mass in my left breast and it’s on the smaller side right now. But, they are concerned…”

This isn’t the first time Francine has dealt with this kind of scare. She revealed that at just 21 years old, she had a biopsy in the same breast after doctors discovered a larger mass—one that ultimately turned out to be benign.

“I had a biopsy when I was 21 years old, a very long time ago (she laughed) and I had a mass in my left breast, same thing. Bigger, I believe, than the one I have now, and it was benign, and I just remember them sticking this huge needle into my boob and extracting five to six vials of fluid to test to see if it was cancer and it wasn’t…”

Francine shared that the earliest available appointment for follow-up testing is July 3rd, which she believes is actually a good sign.

“I’m thinking if it was something that they were like, ‘Holy crap, we have to get this girl in here right away,’ they would’ve done that. So the fact that they gave me an appointment that’s a few weeks away makes me feel a little bit better.”

She also revealed that her mother just recently overcame breast cancer—a detail that only adds weight to the emotions surrounding this entire situation.

Francine continues to show strength through uncertainty, but fans everywhere are keeping her in their thoughts as she waits for her follow-up. Her honesty about the fear and confusion that comes with such a diagnosis is resonating with many who’ve walked the same road.
