Lucha libre is going global in a whole new way.
FOX Corporation just dropped a massive announcement confirming that starting in 2026, it will officially become the broadcast home for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide across Mexico, Central America, and South America (excluding Brazil). The move brings one of Mexico’s most iconic wrestling promotions directly to millions of households—and positions FOX as the undisputed hub for live sports in the region.
“Lucha libre is an essential part of culture and passion in Mexico; we are very proud to bring its stories and idols to millions of households across the country,” said Luis Maldonado, Executive Director of Programming and Marketing at FOX Mexico.
Under the new partnership, fans will be able to watch AAA’s biggest shows—including Triplemania—on FOX’s multiple platforms: the FOX pay TV channel, the free ad-supported streaming service Tubi, and FOX One, the company’s subscription streaming outlet. That means fans can catch matches featuring legends and rising stars alike such as Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Psycho Clown, Pentagon Jr, Vikingo, Lola Vice, Pagano, Dragon Lee, Mr. Iguana, and more—anytime, anywhere. Rey Mysterio, who launched his legendary career in AAA, made it personal:
“AAA has been part of my roots since day one and to see it reach new audiences on FOX in Mexico fills me with pride and excitement. Lucha Libre is part of our culture and bringing these stories to a broader audience is just the beginning – the future of AAA is brighter than ever.”
This deal comes just months after WWE acquired AAA in partnership with Mexican sports and entertainment group Fillip, a move that instantly sent shockwaves across the global wrestling landscape. WWE’s Patrick Dooley, SVP of Global Strategy and Creative Operations, sees this as more than just a rights deal.
“This partnership will elevate AAA to new audiences and take Mexican sports entertainment to another level.”
With this latest addition, FOX’s sports portfolio now includes an even deeper lineup—joining Liga MX, Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1, Coppa Italia, MLB, Formula 1, and more. And with WWE now backing AAA’s global growth, the lucha libre powerhouse looks ready to level up in 2026 and beyond.
This is a pivotal move that blends WWE’s global muscle with FOX’s broadcast firepower and the cultural powerhouse that is AAA. Expect lucha libre to hit a new era—and a much wider audience.
