Former WWE Tag Team Champions In Attendance for SummerSlam

A surprise sighting has added some extra intrigue to WWE SummerSlam Sunday in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

According to Cory Hays of Bodyslam.net, former WWE Tag Team Champions — who are now working for TNA — are apparently in attendance for today’s event.

No further details were provided on which team it is or whether they will be shown on camera, appear in any backstage segments, or are simply there to watch the show.

The sighting comes as WWE presents a stacked card at MetLife Stadium, with John Cena defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against 2025 King of the Ring winner Cody Rhodes in a Street Fight, and Naomi putting her Women’s World Title on the line in a Triple Threat Match against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley. While there’s no indication of any crossover angle, the presence of TNA talent in the building is sure to spark speculation among fans.
