Duke Hudson isn’t looking back—he’s got a new name and a new attitude.

The former NXT Tag Team Champion has officially rebranded himself as Duke Hanson, kicking off the next chapter of his career after being released from WWE in January 2025. He made the change official on social media, posting a new in-ring photo along with an updated display name on X.

Now, Duke Hanson is getting ready to step back into the ring. His first post-WWE match is locked in for April 17 at Pandemonium Pro Wrestling’s The House Always Wins event, and fans are eager to see what this reinvention brings to the table.

Since his release, Hanson has been dropping emotional video promos where he quite literally talks to himself—showing the mental tug-of-war he’s been feeling. In the clips, he wrestles with the disappointment of his WWE exit while expressing support for fellow Australian stars who are still making moves in the company. “Trying to be happy for your friends while being disappointed in yourself… it’s hard,” one video hints at, capturing the raw emotion behind his journey.
