Former WWE head writer Brian Gewirtz raised eyebrows online after a strange crypto-related post showed up on his account — and many fans believe his account may have been hacked.

The post claimed Gewirtz bought a brand-new BMW X7, a high-end luxury SUV that typically sells for around $82,000 to more than $110,000, depending on the trim level. The message included several photos showing the outside of the SUV along with detailed interior shots of the dashboard and leather seating.

But it wasn’t the car that caught people’s attention — it was the message attached to it. Crypto-related posts like this are widely known as a common sign that an account has been compromised. The message promoted crypto profits and credited a so-called coach, which is a pattern often seen in hacked social media accounts.

“Big congrats to me Just got myself a brand new Car, all thanks to the profits from trading crypto, Feels like a dream. Huge shoutout to my amazing coach @coachTamara4444 for the support and guidance🔥❤️ couldn't have done it without her. Crypto really does pay!”

Posts like this have become increasingly common when accounts are hacked. Scammers often use well-known names to promote crypto schemes or fake success stories, hoping followers will click links or reach out to the accounts mentioned.

There has been no confirmed follow-up yet from Gewirtz addressing the situation, but the sudden crypto promotion and unusual wording strongly suggest the post may not have been written by him.

Fans who have seen similar situations before were quick to point out that crypto “success” posts like this are one of the most common warning signs that a social media account has been taken over. If this turns out to be a hack, it would be another example of how quickly scammers move to use recognizable names to push suspicious crypto claims online.
