One of the most talked-about moments from WWE’s latest episode just got an unexpected twist—turns out, the mastermind behind Jimmy Uso’s dramatic segment was none other than former Tough Enough contestant Eric Watts.
According to Fightful Select, Watts, who has been working behind the scenes as a WWE writer, was listed as a key creative force behind the Uso-centered segment that saw chaos erupt between Jimmy, Carmelo Hayes, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and LA Knight.
The segment, which set the stage for more Bloodline drama, featured Jimmy Uso stepping up in the absence of his brother Jey, only to have his match against Carmelo Hayes end in chaos when Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga interfered. But the real intrigue kicked in when Solo Sikoa walked away, leaving the Bloodline’s newest monster Fatu fuming. The confrontation between LA Knight and Braun Strowman only added to the intensity, making this one of the standout moments of the night.
In addition to Watts’ involvement as a writer, WWE’s internal producer listings revealed that Jamie Noble was responsible for producing both the Jimmy Uso vs. Carmelo Hayes match and Solo Sikoa’s promo. Noble, a former in-ring competitor turned backstage veteran, has been instrumental in laying out key matches and promos in WWE. His experience and understanding of storytelling have helped elevate numerous segments, and this one was no exception.
While Watts has remained relatively low-key since his Tough Enough days, his growing influence in WWE creative is now being recognized. It’s not every day that a reality-show prospect transitions into a major player behind the scenes, but Watts seems to be making his mark in a big way.
With tensions in the Bloodline storyline escalating and Watts’ writing fingerprints all over it, the question now is—where does this story go from here? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
