One of the most respected names in independent wrestling is officially winding down. Homicide has revealed that 2025 will be his last year in the ring, with a potential retirement coming “before March.”
Speaking with Counted Out, the former ROH World Champion reflected on his 30-year career, admitting that after decades of hard-hitting battles, he’s finally ready to walk away.
“I realized in the end, I think I’m done,” Homicide said, acknowledging that he’s shared the ring with some of the best, including Minoru Suzuki, Jerry Lynn, and Kurt Angle. He also reminisced about teaming up with legends like Jun Akiyama and Kenta Kobashi.
A staple of the independent scene, Homicide carved out a reputation as one of the toughest competitors in the business. From his reign as ROH World Champion to holding the GCW World Championship and even making waves in TNA’s X Division, his influence on the industry is undeniable.
As the countdown to his final match begins, fans are left wondering—will he get one last dream match before hanging up his boots? Should he take his final bow in ROH, GCW, or perhaps return to TNA one last time?
