Brian Milonas is hanging up his boots after more than two decades in the ring.

The former Ring of Honor standout officially announced that he’s retiring from professional wrestling, marking the end of a 23-year journey that took him from local venues in Massachusetts all the way to Madison Square Garden.

Milonas took to social media with a heartfelt message to reflect on his career, the sacrifices he made, and why it’s finally time to walk away from in-ring competition. He admitted that while his heart still longs for the ring, his body is no longer on the same page.

“Sometimes in life the mind wants something the body just isn’t capable of.”

He began his wrestling journey at 19 years old, driven by one dream: to become a WWE Superstar. Though that dream didn’t fully materialize, Milonas still feels he accomplished something worth being proud of.

“While I fell short of my ultimate goal of becoming a WWE Superstar, I am very proud of my resume. I’ve had great times and made great friends along the way. My only regret is not stopping more in the moments to enjoy the journey.”

His final match came on February 22, 2024, capping off a near 23-year run that saw him perform on some of wrestling’s biggest stages. One of the most memorable stops was his time in ROH, where he regularly teamed with Beer City Bruiser. Milonas also recalled the venues that shaped his career—from intimate settings in Lowell to iconic arenas like MSG.

“From the Polish American Veteran’s Club in Lowell, MA all the way to Madison Square Garden in New York City. What a ride.”

Milonas expressed deep gratitude toward fans and peers who supported him through the years, offering words of wisdom to the next generation.

“Treat the ring and the locker room as the sacred places they are. Leave it better than you found it.”

He also thanked his family, crediting them with giving him the drive to push through tough times and reach incredible milestones.

“Your unconditional love and support propelled me to do some pretty cool things. I love you all.”

While he’s stepping away from performing, Milonas made it clear this isn’t a goodbye to wrestling forever. He intends to remain involved in some capacity.

“I love professional wrestling and when the time is right I will figure out what my next steps are to be a part of the greatest business in the world. For now though, it is time to close the book on my in-ring career.”

Brian Milonas may not have been a household name worldwide, but his presence on the indie scene and in Ring of Honor made him a respected figure with a loyal following. His departure leaves behind a legacy of grit, heart, and a deep love for the business.
