The end of Saturday Night’s Main Event didn’t go quietly. After John Cena tapped out to GUNTHER in his final WWE match, the crowd inside Capital One Arena turned hostile—and new footage shows just how bad it got once the show went off the air.

As GUNTHER made his way out of the arena and towards his bus, fans were caught on video booing and screaming “F*** you GUNTHER,” showing no signs of cooling off. Security followed him closely the entire way to prevent any fan from getting too close, as the backlash from the crowd was very real.

This level of outrage came after Cena gave a classic performance—fighting off a sleeper hold, hitting an Attitude Adjustment, and doing everything he could to stay in the match. But after more than 20 years of being the face of WWE, Cena tapped out clean in his final bout. For many in the building, that was unacceptable. Inside the arena, chants of “bulls**t” echoed as fans booed relentlessly.

Security might’ve had GUNTHER’s back, but the fans weren’t having any of it. Cena’s final chapter ended in an unexpected way—and the reaction outside the ring might’ve been louder than anything that happened in it.
