Things got out of control during the January 18, 2026 main event at Arena México, as a drunken fan stormed the ring during the CMLL World Middleweight Championship bout between Templario and ROH World Champion Bandido.
The fan climbed the ropes in the middle of the match and attempted to jump off before Bandido stepped in to block the intrusion. What followed was total disorder as multiple security guards rushed in and forcefully restrained the fan—some even aggressively beating him down as they dragged him out of the ring.
Despite the chaos, no one was seriously hurt. Once order was restored, Templario went on to retain the CMLL World Middleweight Championship against Bandido in what was ultimately a solid match.
This incident is yet another reminder that fans rushing the ring is no joke. Wrestlers are trained athletes performing in tightly choreographed environments. One wrong move—especially from an untrained and unstable person—can lead to serious injury for everyone involved.
What do you think of how Bandido and security handled this mess? Should promotions be doing more to prevent these kinds of fan incidents? Drop your thoughts below and let us know where you stand.
