TNA Wrestling is a company where people are always getting new opportunities. There is also a revolving door for talent, and nobody can stick around forever. This week’s TNA iMPACT got very real for a few stars.

The January 29 episode of TNA iMPACT on AMC was an interesting show. We also saw who got to feast, and who was fired.

TNA Wrestling’s Feast or Fired match is basically a high-stakes scramble where several wrestlers fight to grab briefcases, but nobody knows what they actually won until later. Some of the cases usually come with big rewards like a title shot, while one of them is the nightmare briefcase that can get someone “fired” in storyline. It’s always chaos because you might think you just won your career-changing moment; and then find out you grabbed the worst case possible.

On the January 22, 2026 episode of TNA Impact, the winners of the Feast or Fired match who walked away with the briefcases were Eric Young, Steve Maclin, Trey Miguel, and Eddie Edwards. Each of them managed to grab a case, but the catch is that only three held future title opportunities, while one contained the dreaded pink slip for termination.

On the January 29 episode of TNA Wrestling, they finally opened the briefcases and revealed what was inside, after the winners locked them down last week.

During the big reveal, Eddie Edwards got the World Title match, Trey Miguel got the International Title shot, Eric Young got the X Division Title match, and that left Steve Maclin with the briefcase to be fired. Afterward, Young told Maclin that his choices would haunt him, referencing their on-screen history.

Feast or Fired has actually “fired” a handful of wrestlers over the years thanks to the pink slip briefcase, and sometimes it’s been storyline, while other times it lined up with real exits. Some of the more notable names who ended up with the fired case include Christopher Daniels, Curry Man, Sheik Abdul Bashir, Chavo Guerrero, Velvet Sky, and Grado. It’s one of the reasons the match still feels like a big deal, because grabbing a briefcase isn’t always a win.

We will have to see what is next in TNA Wrestling, but this was certainly an attention-grabbing segment.
